Reviews:

starsA good motherboard with some nice extras.
I bought this mother chart since I did not want with the devices wi-fi a series of P5K. I had used mother charts of Asus during years and it was since one their products entered my new box. Two warnings with this council: I had to update the BIOS since it was transported with ROMANIAN 0402 antique. I flickered the mother chart with the version the 0705 which is required to support new the 1333MHz duet CPUs of core 2 of INTEL (it also supports the nearest processors of Penryn). The second was ScreenDUO mini-show; I had to employ version 1.08.08 instead of 1.08.06 of the application since oldest of both kissed with my system. Although the newer revision is enumerated with the Web site of Asus because beta it is very stable and fixed the problems I had. Other nice contacts include 512MB of the instantaneous memory, which is welded onto the council, and of a remote control with an infra-red receiver which can be employed for launching applications in more of turning your on/off computer. Maintain in the spirit that the receiver and ScreenDUO mini-show must be connected with ports 3 and 4 of USB; anything else will cause the PC with the powerup when they withdrew or reload it without interruption. That on side this mother chart will make an excellent base for any construction of PC.

starsCould use a little fine tuning
This motherboard works great, but for something labeled as Vista edition, it could use some fine tuning. For one thing, all the fancy utilities that you can install require administrative priveleges to run, which negates the purpose of Vista's UAC.

Also, I don't see how the fancy heat pipe system improves anything. My mobo still runs fairly hot. I'm not even overclocking the thing.

Still, ASUS makes some of the best mobo's in the biz, and I'm a loyal customer. Once you get past these little inconveniences, it is a sturdy board with awesome on board sound and lots of features (for those willing to run all of there accounts as admins).
